Stockdale Paradox
Sorry for the lighting I think this is my first video shot inside. It’s been a long travel day for me. I woke up at 1 am after a rather sleepless night and left for the airport at 3 am.
I made it to Buffalo by 11:30 and when I finally had a moment to lay down I fell asleep. When I woke up, I stared at the ceiling and came up with excuse after excuse to not make a video today: “it’s only one day” and “I’m still so obscure no one will notice” but part of my brand has become short daily content on specific advice that anyone watching can walk away from.
The second I sat at the kitchen table and concentrated on making a video all the excuses faded and I felt this sense of control over my own life for not letting these minor excuses in.
Anyway, enjoy this brief video on the Stockdale paradox; how you need to remain optimistic while simultaneously setting realistic goals for yourself
